Annual Meeting 2008
The Trust held its 42nd annual meeting at the Old Lyme Senior Center on Sunday, March 16. Several awards were given out including the new Landsaver Award.
In recognition of the central role he played in the founding of the Trust, as well as the many donations of land that his advice and assistance have helped to bring about over the years, the Trust presented the Landsaver Award of Appreciation to Belton A. Copp. His wife Eugenie was also recognized with flowers for her work together with her husband.
Hank Golet was awarded the Volunteer of the Year award for his wonderful work as a steward of the Lohmann Buck Twining preserve. This has resulted in - among other things - a list of observed birds and animals on this preserve, click here to see Hank's list.
Professor Robert Thorson
spoke on Stone Walls in New England before a fascinated audience.
